What is a Webster pack?

A Webster pack (formally known as a Webster-Pak) is a sealed blister pack that organises your medications by day and time. Each pack has seven rows representing the seven days of the week and four columns representing the four dosing times: breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime.

Your pharmacist dispenses and packs your medications into the correct compartments based on your prescribing doctor's instructions. Each pack is then double-checked by a pharmacist to ensure the right medication is in the right dose at the right time.

When it is time to take your medication, you simply push the contents through the foil backing of the relevant compartment. Each pack also includes a full list of all medications inside, along with a description of each tablet, so you can always identify what you are taking.

How does it work at Stanmore Pharmacy?

Setting up a Webster pack at Stanmore Pharmacy is straightforward.

Step 1. Bring your medication chart and all your current medications, including vitamins and supplements, to the pharmacy. If you do not have a medication chart, our pharmacist will request one from your doctor.

Step 2. Our pharmacist reviews your medications to check for any potential issues such as duplications or interactions.

Step 3. Your medications are packed into a weekly Webster pack, clearly labelled with your name, the day, the dosing time and a list of all medications included. A pharmacist double-checks every pack before it is sealed.

Step 4. Each week, your new pack is prepared and ready for collection. We also manage your prescription renewals so you do not need to keep track of when scripts are due.

If your doctor makes any changes to your medications at any time, let us know and we will update your pack accordingly.
